eggssell Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 sol. midi is just a for of communication.if the 850's can send it and serato can read it, it should work. Quote
wazza Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 there is no HID ( 14 bit midi ) in Serato Scratch live 2.2 yetonly CDj-350 , 400 , 900 ,2000 the 850 will be soon Quote
Lurk6r Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 So what would be the diff, between cdj midi AND cd timecode? Quote
Gandy Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 you dont need any timecode cds with midi, you use it as a controller like the ns6/s4 etc Quote
SolDios Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 Which version do I use though!?itch or scratch Quote
andyman Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 It doesn't matter, and you'll change your mind next week anyway. Quote

wazza Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 no ...not itch...serato scratch liveyou still need your scratch live hardware..( sl1, sl2 ,sl3 ,sl4 ,rane ttm57 & ttm68 ) plug in into your laptop by usb & the outputs from the scratch live hardware [rca] to the mixerthere are alot off native midi controllers/C.D players for scratch live*Denon DN-hc 4500..Denon DN-hd 2500..*Numark DMC 2...Numark iCDX*Pioneer CDJ 350..CDJ 400 ..CDJ 850 ...CDJ 900...CDJ 2000 & Pioneer MEP 7000/SEP-c1 Quote
imadje Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Serato Scratch = timecode or midi control but requires serato hardware in the same way traktor needs a soundcard. Some Serato hardware takes the form of a mixer which you just plug decks into.Serato Itch = only works with specific hardware controllers such as NS6, VCI-300 DDJs1.They are two different products made by same brand.Sol: itch will not work with CDJs as controllers.Check wazzas serato knowledge above.
