hey guys, i am looking at getting some new gear, how do you think the cdj900 compares to say the cdj2000? now i know the 2000 is the shit so dont shoot me! i am thinking of using the set up mobile dj'ing, parties, pubs etc... is the 2000 worth the extra $$$$?? also same question but comparing the 700 to the new 900 nexus mixer.. the 900 probably has to many features for me to use? I also have the option of an 800 at a reduced price, this could be a better option?

Was thinking of using the 900's with serato or similar.

interested to hear your thoughts....

thanks!

hey mate if you go the 900's or 2000's you can use the included recordbox software, which allows you to connect your decks to computer with lan cables and a hub, then load the songs from the computer to the cdjs using the software. You don't need timecode discs, and don't lose any features of the cdjs this way. Also one less thing to buy, as the software comes free with the cdjs. If i had 900's / 2000's i would look at setting it up like this.

as for comparison of 900/2000 models, im sure someone more informed than me will respond. I know one difference is 900's have the auto loop buttons and the 2000 has the hot cues there instead. Quite a few on here have 900's and are happy with them.

In the end its up to you whether you want to the spend the extra money, if your going to use the extra features it would be worth it, but you won't be dissappointed with 900s.

I'm not real up with the mixers either, but same sort of thing, look at the features, if your going to use them, it may be worth the extra dollars, but if your not, an 800 is still a very good mixer.

Hope this helps :)
