SolDios Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Hey guys, is a macbook duel core 2.93 ghz with 4gb ram enough for traktor 2 or serato?Parents are buying me a macbook, but I have a feeling a 13" will be too small. Quote
fackedd Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I scoured the Internet long and hard to find this information.Serato2GHz Intel Core Duo.2GB RAM.OSX 10.5.8 or higher.TraktorMac OS® X 10.5 or 10.6 (latest update), Intel® Core™ Duo, 2 GB RAM Im using a 13" i5. It is small but i find it's a good thing as it fits into dj booths easier as well as being easier to transport. Quote
LabRat Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 it would be ideal if you could get the 15" pro just for a bigger screen but these macbooks are pretty juiced up these days so should be sweet Quote
SolDios Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 ^ yeh, id rather buy a smaller spec macbook with a bigger screen than a macbook with a tiny screen and decant spec's13" is fine most of the time, but not if you need to see small details. Quote
Mitch Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Are you buying a new or used macbook? And how much you spending? If going new, any of the new macbooks with sandy bridge processors are plenty good enough. Since they put those processors in the new macs, value for money went up a fair bit, IMO. Quote
LabRat Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 i used a 13" macbook before i got my pro. there was nothing wrong with it really. if you're going to run dj software on it i'd get the middle of the line MBP 15". that should have the balls for what you want for sure! just dont flood it with crap lolhttp://store.apple.com/au/browse/home/s ...
