Audacity issues

Hey guys

im trying to connect my mixer up to the computer so i can record my mixes

i have a rca to 3.5mm cable and connect the mixer to the mic in on the computer

wen i try and set up audacity thou, it doesnt detect the mic in...any ideas?

go into the preferences and see if your internal input is selected. if you're running a pc then you'll probably need to change this to internal mic or something.

if that doesnt work, check the connections to the mixer itself. best way would be to go twin rca out of the master to a single 3.5 jack into your computers built-in input

but audacity doesnt have a mic in thing for me to select

ill keep fiddling round
