SolDios
Just currious, in a mobile setup, where would you put moving head lights?

SolDios
as in with moving heads, ive seen people with duel driver speakers put them on the top of there speakers beside the desk. It seemed to work really well and light up the whole place. Apparently they where too heavy to rattle off.
andythemusician
Depends on the room.Usually, underhung off a winch up or a truss line.Depends where you want them to be pointing to, the proximity between, and whether you are controlling via DMX or sound activated / macros. SourceRaver
Like Andy said (again). On top of speakers is unwise as the may bounce off or you may break something inside with the constant vibration. Depending on the height, if their in demo mode or sound to light they may occasional flash in the Djs face and its really annoying.Hanging under an overhead truss is my favourite. gcdj
use a lighting stand with a flat surface on top. they're called totem stands
pauldub
Truss on winch ups works but i prefer vertical truss on baseplates as it looks a bit more appealing, depends on the job really.
