SolDios
Smoke machine juice, Is there varied quality's of it? Just wondering cause I don't want to kill this smoke machine with crappy juice. Ive been using the $10 a litre stuff from Dick Smiths, would that be ok?

fackedd
yeah if you get shitty smoke fluid it wont last as long + it will produce shit smoke.. as in it wont be as thick as a good quality smoke.
andythemusician
Best to go with the smoke juice recommended by the manufacturer. Use anything else and you run the risk of having different consistency of fluid that won't heat up at the temperature the machine is designed to, and you'll root it up. FabDJ
Jaz and I use Glycerin from Woolies (in the cooking section next to the chocolate cake sprinkles in mine)with distilled water about 1/3 gly to 1 water in our 60.00 ebay smokers and I'm happy with the effect.Costs about 3.00 a litre so no probs running it alot. andythemusician
There's nothing magical about smoke juice.Baby oil can be used in hazers for the same effect. Not that I take any responsibility when you guys start trying weird concoctions in your atmos machines and root them up
Jaz
Sol stop being s retard and make your own, it's simply glycerin found in the cooking isle of shops, and distilled water, cost like $10 to make 2 litres and it's works a treat, the thicker you want the smoke the more glycerin you add, normally use about 30/70 for a normal smoke effect, 70 being water Made up many batches of it and used it on my cheap eBay smoke machine back in the day without a single problem
GREMM1S
Also for anyone buying fluid, go 50/50 with water, not quite as good but lasts longer
ConcertAV
Using bad fluid is very damaging to any machines. Bad fluid over time will clog pumps and destroy heaters. It wont happen straight away but over time it is almost a guarantee the machine will fail.We have seen numerous machines come in for repair with blockages caused by cheap and inferior fluid.Spend a bit more and buy a quality fluid of a reputable brand, ie Stage Formula, Martin, etc. This is what we use in ALL of our machineshttp://concertaudiovisual.com.au/store/ ... uct_id=
Jaz
Made my own fluid for over a year, ran it threw a cheap as shit eBay smoke machine, not a single problem
