mattus123 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Hey guys, so ive had these decks for a while now and never taken advantage of the memory function....which is STUPIDso i have decided to start saving cues and all that good stuff, but if i save cues on one song in lets say CDJ A, i wont be able to use those saved cue points in CDJ Bjust wondering if there is a way i can transfer the data between the two SD cardsANDhow big would you guys reccomend for memory, 1GB should be enough yes? Quote
Jaz Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 You should be able to put the SD cards into your laptop the same as USB sticks (different slot obviously) and just copy paste from 1 card to another....the slot is on the front of my laptop at leastI don't have 1000's so I dunno how big a cue save is? Wouldnt be more then 10kb I'd imagine so yeh 1 gig would hold shit loads Quote
mattus123 Posted July 19, 2011 Author Posted July 19, 2011 well thats easier than expectedthanks Jaz Quote
Jaz Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 No prob, yeh it's simple, make sure your computer has the SD port, plug it in, go my computer, locate it in the left hand section, copy paste to other SD card Quote

Mitch Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 yet another double post by Jaz wait are you on windows or mac?Either way think around 08-09 and newer the macbooks have built in SD on the side anyway. And yer just copy the save files from one card to the other and should work (assuming Jaz is correct, don't own Pioneers).Although if you only have one SD slot just make a you'll obviously just have to make a folder on desktop, copy it into there, swap the cards over and copy it back on and you should be sweet.Make a backup of both cards before you do it incase something goes haywire Quote

imadje Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 urrr, did this work?i thought the cards that saved cue points on cdjs werent actually SD cards? On My MKIIs the cards are cdj specific and wont hold any other data than cue points. maybe mk III are different?also if it did work did it actually mean you could use a cd in either deck and have cue points available as your original post asked? awesome88 Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 btw, tired and didn't read, but if your computer doesn't have an sd slot, you can get a usb adaptor Quote
mattus123 Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 btw, tired and didn't read, but if your computer doesn't have an sd slot, you can get a usb adaptorbought an sd adapter the other day yea foolish the SD cards have worked. i havent tried transfering the data between SD cards yet, but i have saved cue points onto the card Quote
Mitch Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Anybody know how the file structure works, does it save a separate file for each song?Coz what you could do is keep a folder with all the files on your laptop then sync between that folder and the sd cards, and you'd always have all your cue points handy on both without having to manually copy them every time.A free Program i started using is called synctwofolders (for mac). Not sure if they make windows version for you other folk, but im sure there is an equivalent. Thought this might come in handy for your situation Quote
mattus123 Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 cheers for that mitchas for how the files are saved im going to assume there will be a new file for each individual cue point...but that could be wrong aswellwhat ill probably jsut do is update the cue points every week or so, copy onto the new sd card and when asked if i want to replace the old files, ill just click 'no' Quote
