All in 1 for sure....individual defeats the purpose of a roadcase, ease of transport, shit already wired up in the case...the only thing individual roadcases maintain is protection

Sounds good, just going to have to get some deacent foam to hold the xone 22 in place. Or make a border for it out of mdf

Use foam, it's cheaper, and will protect your mixer better than mdf....and it's lighter..and easier to cut.. I think that's everything

I know Sol seems to have waved goodbye, but I'll throw in my 2c

All in one: good because it is quicker to setup as everything is patched in, and laid out the exact same way each gig. Bad because it is hard to be mobile with it (because it usually means large and heavy cases) and you have less flexibility with your gear - in other words, if you had radio mics for your DJ kit, having them in your big rack with the mixer, decks, etc means if you needed to use them elsewhere, you either need to spend the time de-casing them or take the entire case with you.

Individual - good because it is more modular, and you can build your system to suit the gig instead of having to take everything everywhere. Also good for sole operators, as its easier to carry in and lift up stairs, etc. Bad because it takes a bit longer to setup, and usually takes a bit more room because there are more cases. Although this might suit someone with a smaller car - instead of trying to fit a massive case in a car, a few smaller ones might be easier to squeeze in.

All the guys I see around here in clubs/pubs have all in one cases, so I went that way as well. Havent got it yet as I only ordered it 2 days ago.. let you know how it goes

So does anyone know a road case like the rc2, with the large space above to cables with its own hatch to keep it tidy, but for the larger players like cdj 800's?

1 more question

I have a 10" mixer and I can get a road case for it and large cd players.

but would it be better to get a 12" mixer section in the road case for when I eventually (in a long time) upgrade?

Ive been thinking, and im going to go to jbhifi and compare the size of an x1 and cdj 350 (same size as 400 isnt it?) to a djm 700. if its the same size or smaller il get a road case for a bigger mixer and put an x1 and my djm 400 in the 1 section

Looks like if I want to do the above, il have to get a roadcase for 2000's

Thats what il probably end up doing, il only have 5cm on each side of the x1+djm 400 to fill with foam
