Jarrah
Hey I was very excited to see a DJM 800 mixer for sale nearby to me for $900 (The seller even said he/she could to $850)Here is the listing,http://sydney.gumtree.com.au/c-Stuff-fo ... Z291811330I have been emailing the seller and he replies fairly quickly and at first I was pretty convinced i was legitimate. The seller sent me many photos of the mixer and seemed very nice. Now I email the seller saying okay I am happy to buy your mixer and he says that he is in Italy with the mixer hahahahhahahI have a bit of a go at the seller because obviously there is no way he could be in Italy as he emailed me the other day and did not mention one word of being overseas. The seller says: "you will send the money to the shipping agent after the shipping is started and they will keep the money until you get the mixer in hands ..."It is disgusting how many scammers are out there these daysThanks guys

fackedd
a DJM 800 for $900 is definitely legit. They go new for $1400-1500.with the whole italy thing i'm not going to comment, just going to say the price is fair.

Jaz
The seller says: "you will send the money to the shipping agent after the shipping is started and they will keep the money until you get the mixer in hands ..." be careful, this is typical scam material right here
Jarrah
Yep I am definitely going to let go of this sale, It is almost impossible for me to get a CDJ900s/DJM800 setup for under 3k
foedragon1
why does everyone keep ignoring my suggestion of going the dvs route , which is clearly superior ? (not to mention cheaper..)
Jaz
Because software sucks
Jarrah
It's not the same !I would rather use CDJ's and run Serato (or whatever) on top of it hahhaha But I do hear where you are coming from I don't have a laptop so I could only really use it at home on my iMac
foedragon1
dvs is serato!software does not suck! haha music management is the shizzle with serato. i can mix in key so much more easily + quickly. plus i cbf to beatmatch with serato waveforms. I learnt how to do it when i was just on cdjs, now I can sit back and concentrate on other things jarrah come around to mine on sunday ill show u how good serato/traktor is. fackedd
If i had my time back I'd probably go the dvs route with 1000's. and I was actually thinking about doing it before.but i feel dumb downgrading from 900's when everywhere will have them in the next 1-2 years so I wont be using a laptop anyway. Jarrah
Yes I know DVS is Serato/Traktor! haha I was just saying that I would rather run a DVS software on top of CDJ's and a mixer rather than just mixing with a Digital Vinyl System/SoftwareThanks so much for that offer but tomorrow is my sisters birthday :/ I would love to come over and see Serato/Traktor in action, next weekend? foedragon1
for a dvs you need cdjs and a proper mixer (just add a laptop + soundcard)- but instead of running 900s/2000s you can use slightly older gear (e.g. 1000s) and still have all the functionality. ill explain later.yeah ok, next w/e should be good. im at the snow all week though so might be the sunday!
