ChevChelios Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Exactly why Ableton is so good, you can turn the session page into one gigantic sampler :circlebangingmetalsmilie: Quote
BeatLeSS Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Yup, this has definitely convinced me to buy a launchpad! Quote
Tomy Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 yeah wow. makes me want to use my launch pad again. but i think i'l just stick to writing tunes. Quote
Mattye Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Thats meee...hahah nah jksBut seriously. Fuck thats wicked. i love that whole...making music with samples to that extent Quote
street Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 wish I could make mashups like that. i guess logic will do for now, lol. Quote
OxyKon Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I've seen them before but never in use, that's awesome, so is it like a mixer and effects all rolled into 1? Quote
Mitch Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Its essentially a controller/trigger pad for ableton. I have never owned or used one but i think you can use it to trigger all sorts of samples and control different elements of ableton. Fairly sure its just a USB connection into a comp. You can still see he still has a mixer that the sound runs through. Quote
Jaz Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I've seen them before but never in use, that's awesome, so is it like a mixer and effects all rolled into 1?yeh pretty much what mitch said, it just triggers clips that you have made in ableton, but yeh it has a button that you press that brings up a mixer mode when you can raise or decrease levels by dragging your fingers up or down the buttons Quote
OxyKon Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Ahk fair enough, kinda reminds me of a Kaos pad too, thinkin of gettin 1 of those soon, how hard is it to hook 1 up to the DJM-800? Quote
Jaz Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 nah it have any effects built into it, the effects and samples and clips are all in ableton that this guy would have created, he's just triggering them by pressing the pads....the mixer section is like this Quote
imadje Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Jive bunny has come along way lol....a few piano lessons,3 or 4 days preperationtime warping quantisationand any of us could have done that fookin dope tho, kid should go far. Quote
