SolDios Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Hey guys, so as a result of the challenge my brain is in overdrive thinking of songs to mix.First going to try mix dirty talk (laidback luke remix) and bounce (dj rehab remix) Quote
SolDios Posted July 14, 2011 Author Posted July 14, 2011 :/ cant get it to sound good, even when I mix different parts with different parts.Got em beatmatched and everything but yeh.Imported into virtual dj to see if my beat matching was off and it still sounded like rubbish. Quote
awesome88 Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 soooo scratch that combo and try something elsetrial and errortrial and errortrial and error Quote
SolDios Posted July 14, 2011 Author Posted July 14, 2011 ^ mmhmNow trying Rave Itch with get down (Risk One Bootleg) by paul johnston Quote
fackedd Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 dude i still don't think you understand.......just mix the the last 1 min of dirty talk into the first 1 min of bounce. like it has been said a million times you can mix nearly all EDM tracks together. When you mix it's all about the transitions between each song. CapFive Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 ^this, sol go from one song to the next, wait till one is close to finishing, then start bringing in the next song, DJ's very rarely mash up live... Quote
CapFive Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 DJ Capss First Live CDJ Mix by CapFive click on my transition area's you will notice none of them really clash, they mould... THIS is a mix, not a remix, not a mashup not a bootleg or a remake, A MIX have fun! Quote
awesome88 Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 it's easy to mix the outro of one song into the intro of another song when you are mixing club edit's, but it also gets pretty boring....i think he is trying to mix them closer together and in different parts of the song Quote
Cupe Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 does not computedon't you mix for whole parties? Quote

We've said it a million times in other threads before and he's still trying to do mashups or some shit. Quote
CapFive Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 it can take some time to actually perfect outro/intro mixing, it's really all about song knowledge and knowing what song does what where (e.g build up, break down, no vocals, heavy bassline, no bassline...) Quote
Gandy Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 umm a mix is more than 2 songs, just sayin, has to be at least 5 Quote
andyman Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Next time I take a shit, I'm gonna make a thread and call it "Andymans Shit Log", and I'm gonna talk you through the steps of pushing out a dookie. Quote

Mitch Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 sol i just mixed those two songs together myself. they work, just mix the last 45 seconds of dirty talk in with the beginning of bounce and it works fine, just use phrasing. i might even upload it just for proof Quote
CapFive Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 This is what I wanna see, teach, help, upload Quote
