Ok, just got down a 40m mix, could use a bit of work, going to have another crack tomorow

It seems to be a trance mix that goes into electro

Lol, sol have some structure man, post up a tracklist so we can give advice at least :P then stick to it and do it over and over till you get it down

^ i was thinking that mattus...

...but isnt the island the one that starts at dance tempo then increases to drum n bass (approx 125 bpm to 165 bpm) at some point of the tune?

if so sol big up. There's a great effect to be had by doing this sort of mix, just hope you lock it b4 the tempo change. If i havent said it already: good luck.

just had a quick listen to it again, sounds like its got a pretty constant BPM

u COULD possibly mix the melodic section (in the middle) of it thou, there is no kickdrum

you could also slow it down to match the other BPM's, but ive found that that normally doesnt sound too good if u have drastic changes in the BPM

Edit: Just ran the song through a BPM checking software and turns out its 125 BPM, which is fine ;)

Go sol go sol!!! Good form mate, your looking good so far buddy!!! That's a playlist worthy of my approval, looks like some though went into it :) like fool and mattus said, careful with massive tempo changes, rule of thumb is never move a song from around 3-5 of its natural bpm, try to first.d a break like mattus did, or slam the mofo in at a good drop and get 2-3 songs to follow through at that bomb and slam it back :) its all about form and thinking 2 songs ahead

^ mmhm :)

also, after get down by paul johnston, where it starts the masive build up in the second half of the song. Just as it hits the peak il flick over (beatmatched of course) to punkass (sydney samson remix) at the end of its buildup and goes into the main beat. Its a little bit of an experemental transision, but its good to try new things.
