jbeard
Hi all,I am trying to get a Nero sound on Massive, that real deep rolling bass wobble, not your usual mid range type... Has anyone got any good tutorials or screen shots of Massive to help me out?Cheers
LabRat
Similar to innocence, guilt, etc?I made something similar but I need something to fatten it up. I don't think that sound (if made in massive) comes out the way it sounds. I think they put it through some stuff. But if there's one out there I wouldn't mind giving it a shot either
jbeard
Like on his sincere remix, that's the best example I can think of. What other stuff would he run it through do you think? Yeah it's so bad ass sounding!! Haha
LabRat
Ah could be anything dude! Might even be a factory present they sampled off an external synth for all I know lolBest bet would be to start off with a sound similar to what you're after then stuff around with expanders abs compressors n shit. There might be some free vst's or plugins around that fatten up your sounds but that's a natter of hunting around. What daw you using? ChevChelios
Alright mate, I got kinda close to it, its a pretty straight forward patch. You will need the following ingredients:- 1 x Square - Saw 1, have it all the way to sawtooth, and then bring back the tiniest bit, just listen for a bit of square coming through.- 1 x Ring modulation on the first oscillator, pan it hard left.- 1 x Lowpass 2 Filter, cutoff at about 2:00/2:30 and a tiny bit of resonance- 1 x Tele Tube, full drive, 50% wet- 1 x small reverb (adjust to taste)- 1 x EQ section, boost a bit on the highs, and use the sweepable section boost some of the high-mids- 1 x Feedback, a fair bit of it, I have it at nearly 50%- 1 x Parabolic shaper, 45% drive and about 20% wet.I chucked another EQ on after Massive and boosted some areas, mostly highs and mids, quite heavily actually (I have a high shelf of +10dB, so its pretty drastic) and Im sure he's using a bunch of external processing, but that is more or less the massive patch. From then its all about the modulationz
