Have decided to get a couple of hours tutoring on Ableton from some certified ableton technician in Brisbane otherwise im never going to get my ass into gear and get passed that 1st daunting part of ableton where everything just looks like randoms bars, words and buttons (how i see it now)

should be on the 24th so expect to see some original shit coming from me after that

good luck man, ill be jumping into logic after tax return, have been spending a lot of time in Garage Band and im at the point where i need logic for what i want to acheive, its one hell of a fun world dont be surprised to easily missplace 4/5 hours and not even notice haha

probs just 2-3 i just want to get that real basic shit down, creating a song, importing audio/accapella and editing it, learning all your instrument components like drum racks, sample racks, abletons simpler rack etc, setting up VST's, song structuring in ableton, sessions view n track view, warping and all that shit

went well, i was hung over as fuck and couldnt keep my concentration at times but yeh i got alot of the basics out of the way, he had a mac n it just made my PC look like shit haha deffo gonna have to upgrade soon

but yeh i think its worth it, $100 for 2 hours aint bad

i also learned whilst at the gold coast that alot of the DJ's there are really good and playing mash ups...80% of the music i heard was 1 pop song pre-mixed/mashed with another, like G6 mashed with dynamite or some shit...
