New or Refurbished? Numark Mixtrack.

I think i'm going to get a Numark Mixtrack Pro with an Edirol FA-66 sound card. When i was on http://www.numark.com/mixtrack i saw that you could either get it new or refurbished. refurbished is $135 and new is $270. they say refurbished has passed all tests, been cleaned and checked. it also says they might have 'minor blemishes'. considering it's Numark it's most definitely legit. so the question is should i get new for $270 or refurbished for $135? cheers.

id deffo go refurbished if it was me, just make sure you still have a full warrenty with it...

but you also have to think...if they have a shitload of refurbished models then things obviously keep breaking on them and having to be sent back....

on the site it says "They may have been used in field tests, used in sales displays at trade shows, or returned by a customer." and yes it comes with warranty

thats probs a load of shit man, if it was on display at say JB-hifi or StoreDJ or DJwarehouse...they wont send it back to the supplier, they would just sell it at a discount as an ex demo

either way id still go the refurbished i think

^depends if it was a demo only model, sometimes shops get units that are still owned by the manufacturer or are lent out on a sale or return basis.

in this case the shop cannot sell as ex-demo so returns to numark and it gets refurbed. refurb means quality checks and a clean... or if there has been a bad batch that kept breaking they have solved the issue and replaced the faulty component/s. They wont offer warranty refurbs without being sure they are ok. costs them too much to refund them all.

refurb is a wonderful thing... if it comes with warranty the only difference is the amount of packaging and the fact you pay less for it.

p.s. why the edirol soundcard? i thought the mixtrack pro came with audio?
