trying to get that vowel bass sound happening but all the youtube tutorial ones sound like shit and aren't what i'm going for. jonny and spitfire might be able to help me out coz I recall a few of your tracks using that sound.

talking more about the electro style of it rather than the shitty dubstep ones. kinda like this track:

Yeah depends. I use bitcrushers on simple wav sample but you can get a pretty heavy sound out of massive alone. I'll have a look at what patches I got and I'll help ya out

ok, almost done with the track and was just looking for advice on getting the volume levels at the right balance, as this is the first full length track i've ever made. other tips on putting finalising touches on it would also be appreciated.

should be finished by tommorow. just gotta finish the outro, then get the levels right, do some bussing, compression and whatnot.

will post when done, don't worry :)

Haha oh that's cool. I thought u forgot to post a link that's all. I've sorta passed on compressing things. Not sure why but I only seem to compress if I'm sidechaining (which is not very often lol)

okkkkkkkk, all I have to do now is fix up a few sweeps and builds, as well as do my sub bass but my ears fucking hurt now so ill just finish it tomorrow.

rightttttttttt, i've bounced it to audio, and have listened to it and I swear some levels are off but its so hard to tell because my ears are absolutely fucked from last night as well as sitting in front of monitors for so long.

tomorrow my ears should be sweet so ill do it then.

what type of vowel bass are ya after mate? the only one ive really mastered is the 'yoy'

the one in get the fuck out of my house was made by the other guy i do it with, he made that track buy himself.

ill try do a basic video this weekend and chuck it up on youtube on how to make the vowel bass's i use....

the simplest one would be

oscillator 1 - modern talking (down an octave) with an LFO modulator controlling the movement..

then add plug ins (phasers/flangers/reverbs)

then expand on it from there.

switch around and play with it....best way to learn.

but that is a very simple way of doing it.
