CapFive
Also, whats the diff between a 2 and 4 channel mixer? means I can only do so much or?Without sounding like an asshole, I think you need to do alot more research before dropping 2k on a setup.nothing like being dropped in the deep end, if spending 2k doesnt make you learn to DJ then what will at least he is keen, and he is actually listening to the advice given, give the guy a chance
mattus123
nothing like being dropped in the deep end, if spending 2k doesnt make you learn to DJ then what will so truei shelled out 2k gettin my first gear (which i now realise was a bit excessive)but it has definetly been motivation during my down periods to keep practisingNO CHANCE im gonna waste 2k for nothing
fackedd
I dropped over 3k in my first setup.but I actually did loads of research before I bought my gear, knew the ins and outs of everything and I watched so many vids off youtube and taught myself before I even bought the gear. The fact you don't know the difference between a 2 and 4 channel mixer and the comment about the x1 cdj means you need to do more research on everything. Nothing is wrong with dropping alot but you need to know wtf you are doing and why you are buying that particular gear over another.

Gandy
a little, but i knew i was in for some spending because i had absolutely nothing, so thought i might as well get some quality gear that will last, which it most def has, really really impressed with the djm 350 and the rokit krk 8's are fucking amazingif i had my time again right now, i honestly think id get the pioneer controller, $1200 for 2 decks, 4 channel mixer made by the industry standard and inlcudes software?? yes fucking please!then id spend all the money i saved on production software and couple of plugins, cant wait to buy Logic with my tax return in august

Elsamchez
I was lucky with my setup, I ended up spending 2.2k a few months after the 850's were released. 900 or so each deck then 600 for the mixer. I am still happy with the price, unhappy with the fact there is still no HID for Traktor or Serrato, but it gives me a chance to learn without software which I enjoy.Just take your time like with anything that is expensive. Cars for example. Wait for a good deal to come up, shop around and if buying second hand, wait patiently. If you are set on learning to mix now get a trial of ableton/virtual dj/similar and learn the ins and outs of software mixing
