CapFive Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 Nothing else, well my little Hercules mp3 e2 but I tried without that plugged in... and I tried full clean install too... Quote
lloydc Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 i read something about keylock (being on) causing issues like this, in certain circumstances. Quote
eggssell Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 hey cap5 havent heard the sound but i assume its a ground loop hum. try unplugging your laptpop (i.e run off batteries). if you have a desktop, not sure how you test it.dont know the exacts but its becasue your computer has a ground and your mixer has a ground so somehow current gets caught in a loop.anyways it can be fixed. ill search around for the fred where the fellas here fixed my issue. eggssell Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 http://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php? ... round+loopon page 2 source raver links up the hum destroyer. works an absolute treat Quote
CapFive Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 i dont think its a ground loop...it only happens when i am playing music, it sounds like the track is distorted and its on both decks... Quote
eggssell Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 oh okay. try unplugging anyways to see if its that.because if its not that then it could also be latency. however thats usually more of a snap, crackle and pop sound. kind of gives all your tracks that vinyl sound.have you tried playing around with your latency? remember lowest isnt the best. its about finding the best for your system. and stopping whatevers not needed. i found switching off the wireless card got rid of my crackles. eggssell Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Load up on soundcloud else will have a listen when i gets home Quote
SourceRaver Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Latency sounds like the culprit.Otherwise sometimes folks have there laptop mic on without knowing it and makes the recording sound terrible.Could also be a dodgy cord so check then all. Quote
CapFive Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 it was working yesterday though, how do i check the latency?... Quote
CapFive Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 the mic sounds like it may be it... ill try disable it Quote
CapFive Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 omg it was the mic... you genieassssss +rep source Quote
SourceRaver Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Ah...thanks. (But its only because I've done it myself...) Quote
