i do agree with sound quality, can people please download songs in atleast 320 or wav.

Also stop ripping songs and actually buy them :)

i always buy a track i really like and that i think is really good.

I still belevie its ok to rip commercial cheeze cause it goes out of fashion so quick and the only reason half the pricks out there get into the commrcial world is to make money.

reward good tunes and respect good producers for those who crank out tracks with pop stars abuse it becuase they are shitting on a part of music they should never belong to! Oh and i bet if you ask those pop singers if they knew the god fathers of house and techno they would not have a clue who they where money grabbing pricks

its about the music not how u choose to play it out, i love old skool vinyl i love the sound but half the club systems out there dont do it justice anyway

Less focus on how the music is played, and more focus on playing good music.

The industry needs more artists making top quality productions that will last an eternity, instead of your usual Tommy Trash Top 40 banger.

I dont have the same attraction to my cd and mp3 collection that i i originally had when i purchased all of my vinyl...the artwork on the cover, the feel of the vinyl the imperfections in some of the presses...the warmness of the sound is far better even that wav downloads or copies from original cds..i even still remember the spot where the needle jumps or hits a scratch in some of my vinyl that i havent heard fro years..thats the sort of thing im talking about that you dont get with digital music

I completely agree with you i started out digital and then went to vinyl, I love the way vinyl feels, it seems to be more interactive than CDJ's/Midi. But what i dont agree with and why i tend to stay out of this argument is its like pushing your religion upon other people. Does it make someone any less of an artist because they use computer design programs rather than a paintbrush and canvas? it still takes artistic flair to play well on any of the media we have available to us, I think its ignorant to say one media is inferior to another, anyway blahh blah blah same old story we've heard it all before......Its bout the tunes whales

Firstly I learned the hard way on vinyl, but made the switch to serato not only for cost but also more fredoom.

After you climb down from that 16ft tall pedestal you may want examine a few contradictions, such as:

You mention hardware issues causing lag, what the fuck are you using to publish your silly rant on, a commodore 64 ?

Most mid range to high end computers these days don't suffer from this lag you talk of.

No crowd interaction, most skilled dj's can do more than just focus on the computer screen. I myself like to mix whilst smoking drinking and trawling the web in search for half wits to prove wrong (hey I found one)

You mention Carl Cox , dumb ass he has been using Traktor for some time now, you may want to jump on dj mags web site and read an article in the tech section, which talks about what equipment he is using and why.

Two mixes or scratches never sound the same on vinyl, scratches maybe but mixes, start from the same cue and cut it or eq the same as what you did before and it's pretty much so gonna same the sound as did last time.

Theres plenty more to poke the stick of ignarence but im too busy pushing the limits of sound while mixing on my Vinyl/digital hybrid format........................ EADU

some interesting points here, its definitely a personal issue and feeling for every DJ out their,

for me i grew up listening to vinyl, i started DJ'n vinyl, theres something about it that i just love, ive now moved into the CDJ market too but it doesnt mean im gonna stop buying vinyl

heres the funny part, a couple of my cousins friends DJ using timecode n shit, and when i told them that i was operating a 4 channel mixer with 2 CDJ's and 2 turntables they said what the hell you wasting that much money on equipment for, i simply said to them, "because thats the setup im comfortable with"

"because thats the setup im comfortable with"

this^^^ it shouldnt matter whether someone uses turntable, cdjs or are djing digitally, as long as your comfortable with the set up you got then thats all that should matter
