dim Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 apologies if this should be in a dif thread...I've posted a few vids now via youtube. some of them have had audio disabled in certain countries and some of them have had all the audio disabled for everyone due to copyright issues.thing is it doesnt tell me which song is causing the problem. If i knew i could redo the mix without that song and repost... anyone know how you find out exactly which track is causing the copyright issue?p.s. soundcloud has no issue with the whole mix... does this mean i'm gonna get sued or am i getting away with it?If no one knows can anyone suggest where i can look to research this?cheers Quote
Cupe Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 does that happen automatically or does it get reported then youtube admin adjust the clip? Quote
CapFive Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 i didn't think youtube was smart enough to decipher the audio to check for copyright issues Quote
Jaz Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 does that happen automatically or does it get reported then youtube admin adjust the clip?actually im pretty sure they use a method similar to that app on the iphone that listens and recognises music, is it called shazam or some shit?because 80% of the time my vids would get copywrited n blocked after like an hour of uploading lol Quote
Mattye Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 DId anyone see the news this morning????In the States their looking at passing a law that means you can be sent to jail for copyright infringments. This can be as simple as recording urself lipsyncing a song and putting it on youtube.FUCKING AMERICANS :/ Quote
Cupe Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 i hope it fucking stops cunts lip syching on youtube i fucking hate those clips Quote
LabRat Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Same thing happened with my remix of time. Wasn't allowed to be uploaded due to breaching copyright claims. Quote
dim Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 does that happen automatically or does it get reported then youtube admin adjust the clip?on mine it happened auto - after uploading video youtube thinks for a while then displays wether the audio has any copyright infringements. On some it said: "this video is banned in some countries" on others it just said "audio disabled" but on none did it say which songs were causing the problem.I guess it's a shazam similar tech (like djaz says) that recognises songs then cross references with a database of tracks that labels have said they wont allow.I ain't whingeing coz i understand copyright, i'm also still amazed at the ability of technology to let us do any of this. I just wish they could be specific about which songs are causing the issue. Quote
