dim Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 dunno if this will work, youtube says audio disabled due to copyright issue but it plays ok for me so thought i'd chk embedding it.edit: derp, it didnt work, audio was disabled. Quote
dim Posted June 12, 2011 Author Posted June 12, 2011 ^ thanks kyle, i'm such an amateur!Still don't think you'll get audio on part 2 due to the copyright thing but here's part 3:no issues reported my end with this one.anyone know how you find out exactly which tune it is that is infringing copyright? I'll want to swap it for something different if I redo this mix. Quote
eggssell Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Did you have prince in there. He hates youtube Quote
eggssell Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Typing while listening. Nice man. Love the vocal dropping via platter. That "change" transition didnt end too well. The next one at the 5 min mark was awesome. And thats a phat funky Track coming after that. Last tranny was awesome too wanted to keep listening Nice cuts yet again. Quote
dim Posted June 12, 2011 Author Posted June 12, 2011 ^ cheers man. yeah the "change!" subtitle was put there as a warning. The whole mix is linked here:http://soundcloud.com/djim-1/jim-1st-mi ... ok-testingI bet you spot all bits i think are shit but i'd appreciate comments anyway.BTW: Do you mean the scratching with vox? the bits like "put your hands up? early on in this clip"? I never thought of scratching words as any different to sounds but i suppose they are. Anyway that's why i didn't know what your vocal mice were about lol! Quote
wazza Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 that was very cool......love the 909 mixerI think the 909 is still the best 2 channel mixer madeI have a love /hate thing with my 909 because my 909 is still fucked and not fixed Quote
eggssell Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Yeah with the vocal drops i meant the scratching but more how you let it play out a couple times before scratching. And i was saying its cool how you do it as a track on a deck as opposed to using buttons to hot cue (not that there is anything wrong w that). I do the same. Which i guess you got used to doing because of yer vinyl background. In terms of vocal mixes. I meant in our first convo when you first joined i mentioned i was struggling with that 90 bpm hip hop mix, in particular because all tracks had vocals. And you gave me some tips but i was pretty much over it by then. So its great seeing some hip hop/ funk music being mixed here. So bigg ups Quote
dim Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 ^ cool guys.wazza: cheers man... but your 909 is bust: ooo that hurts man, 909 rocks. It's the only thing I'm gonna miss it when I move out to the numark ns6 soon.Eggs: I would love to jam with you bro. If we ever did just remember I only have one rule: rule 1: "there are no rules"Kyle: I had a lobotomy last weekend so renamed myself something stupid mate, that's all. Quote
