RichoKidd Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 So I've been in the market for a mic latley, just for rehearsing MCing in my room and shit. Originally I was gonna get a Shure PG48 until the guys at Kosmic turned me to this; cheaper and same quality, according to Kosmic.$50Tested and I'm really happy Quote

andythemusician Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Yeah these aren't actually that bad. Can't drop them around the joint like you can an SM58, but they certainly do the job for the money they are. I particularly like to use these as the mics drunk punters may need to use (speeches, etc). Quote
dim Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 ^ fair play Andy, ^^fair choice Richo. Fine for bedroom practice. Looks like the box can be modified to hold NI8, KP2/3, or all kinds of crap too, and no one will pinch it coz it says "behringer" on the side! When it's time to replace them chk this: I've had my SM58 for 15 years, it's never even had a case but it's been to france and amsterdam twice, to ireland 3 times and at glastonbury festival 4 times.... dropped, knocked, lent to drunkles the worx. And it still sounds irie. Quote
RichoKidd Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 Yeah, I think once I start gigging for real, SM58 might be the way to go. They seemed to have dropped in price too. About $150 now days Quote

RichoKidd Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 Yeah, Shure was the plan. But I like to cut corners when I can Quote
dim Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Yeah, Shure was the plan. But I like to cut corners when I can yeah man why not. practice is practice, professional can afford professional, so wait until your ready.but sm 58 is industry standard for a reason. Quote
