Braddlez
Hey everyone I'm new to DJing, have been learning on a pioneer dvj1000 aT a local pub with serato. Just wandering what people think of the Reloop package on djwharehouse... It looks decent and also would like to know if anyone has used the numark mixdeck. Thanks Just after some advice guys
eggssell
the reloop products are top notch. i use the reloop iq2 non usb version. its cross faders are ultra light and smooth (check youtube for that german dmc supremacy champ zeiko go crazy on em).and the sound is highly rated, not just for its cost but in general.in terms of the dj warehouse pack. ive used reloop rmp1 (the scratch enabled ones) and an rmx 30. im not too familiar with cd players, but for the two times i have used em they were good. Lurk6r
I also have the rmp1scratch and rmx30 from dj whore house.Build quality is great, although cause the cdjs are rubber coated, mine have some scratch marks from the side of the mixer.Feature wise:rmp1- no midi- no usb- no effectsbut the platter is responsive and solid and I can see them lasting long term.auto bpm is inaccurate but you shouldn't be using that anyway. If you go, 1track -> 1 cd, you can store cue points/loops for up to 1000 cds in its memory. The mixer has no effects either. But the faders are well built yet VERY light and responsive. You can adjust the curves on all faders including the cross. Sound quality is great.Overall I think your choice would come down to. Do you get the dj warehouse pack. Or hunt online for something slightly better with more features, but obviously used.Would I buy them again? Yes

Braddlez
I just want something decent that can use both cd/mp3/USB and software like serato/traktor... Plan on doing parties and would like a good variety of music other than just cd's... Also Because I have been learning on a big platter, I would like something with a decent size platter too. Mmm any suggestions

Braddlez
That looks pretty awesome but do I really need this just for doing some parties? Because I would still have to buy a mixer yeah? it would be very expensive just for getting started

One runs with serato itch and the other is a traktor controller.
awesome88
ya, only said the traktor one cos the serato one is hella expensive
Braddlez
Well I have been learning on serato with a dvj1000 so if I was to buy a setup to play at parties it'd make sense that it'dphase to play serato, so I guess a controller would be my cheapest option hey? awesome88
yup, i mainly have experience with traktor, so can't really advise any further that the pioneer serato itch controller in terms of controllers that directly link..... but you can always go for a cheaper controler like a hercules or something then map it for serato.... as far as i know anyway.... one of the other boys might have a better idea

Braddlez
Ugh all these words, confusion is setting in. Cheapest way to start out doing parties would be what? If it means steering away from software and getting into just cd's then I might bite the bullet and buy cdj200/400's and a mixer and learn the hArd way?? Budget being $1k max
awesome88
ok... do you have a laptop already?
Buck_Choi
i have the rmp-3's got it a while ago still no proper time to have a good play on it.but if you have any questions just ask...my thoughts on it. they are top notch. have all the features you will need and equivalent to cdj 1000's althought i dont use it as a midi device, got it hooked up to audio 8 :]
Braddlez
Yeah I have laptop, new toshiba i7...
awesome88
if you have a laptop, for what you need, i think a controller will be your best option. It will be your cheapest, most portable option, with the most features.for around the $1000 mark, you'll get a controller that you won't have to upgrade, unless you want to change platforms. These three are probably your best option. They are basically plug and play, come with software and default mapping, so you don't have to configure anything.... basically install like normal software and drivers, plug it in USB and you're away.Native Instruments Kontrol S4https://www.storedj.com.au/products/NI-KNTRLS4-comes with traktor pro 2 so you don't have to pay for an upgradeDenon dn-mc6000https://www.storedj.com.au/products/DEN-DNMC6000- Comeas with Traktor LE, so you will have to upgrade to Pro version if you continue with djing, but can probably get away with LE version just for parties.Pioneer DDJ-S1/T1https://www.storedj.com.au/products/PIO-DDJS1-comes with serato ITCH softwarehttps://www.storedj.com.au/products/PIO-DDJT1-comes with T1 traktor edition softwarei have owned both the S4 and Denon dn-mc6000. I have the denon currently, and personally like it better, even putting aside some of the audio issues i had with the S4.the denon has also just got new traktor and firmware upgrades to make it work better with traktor. All three are solid units, however, i haven't had any experience with the pioneers. All will do the job you need and more as well, so you can develop your skills.I did a review of the denon, with some comparisons to the S4. Have a read of it and let us know if you have any questions about any of them.Reviewhttp://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php? ... pic&t=4927
lloydc
^ +repwindows and the S4 seemed to have numerous issues... I would definately be looking at the dn-mc6000 if I owned a non-mac laptop.plenty of features and built like a brick shithouse.
