a typical one is about 8 bars long, so id split them up into this:

bars 1 and 2 = 1/4 note hits

bars 3 and 4 = 1/8 note hits

bars 5 and 6 = 1/16 not hits

bar 7 = 1/32 note hits

bar 8 = no drums

bar 9 = MASSIVE DROP!

combine that with some white noise sweeps or any build sound youve got and it should do the trick.

The little button highlighted in the picture is 'ROLL'

The X-Y pad allows you to build up and down, pitch and volume.

Its a great way to drum roll a sample or fragment.

just a thought?

The strokes on the 1, 2, 3 and 4 of a 1/16th stroke roll are usually accented for drum rolls when talking about drumming in general, but I dont hear it much in edm. so something along the lines of...
