ah i dont know too much about the scene down here but there was a guy spinning dnb last night that told me all about it. He said its mostly 21+ bar events but theres some places in LA that throw down about every two weeks and they love getting talent from all over

last night was sick though, had two bad transitions but the MC covered it up chea cheaaa haha

Had an 18th 2 nights ago. Started off as mostly cheese then got into some electro and such as the night went on. Got shut down half an hour early cause a dude climbed on the neighbors roof. Used the truss for the first time, It wasnt nearly as big of a pain in the whale to setup as I though, in fact its a bit of a relief to have it behind me and know its not going to get knocked over or accidentally give laser eye surgery to somebody walking by. Also used my behringer 15inch sub for the first time, the bass was amazing from what ive heard at any mobile gig so far. I had it under my table and it was shaking alot. I did learn a lot about keeping gain/levels in check as the traktor default for tracks would usually mean the sub would clip. Heaps of people knew me from previous gigs so it was pretty cool when they kept approaching me with the whole "omg your the best dj ever".

Next up friends birthday at a bar, in Mordialoc on thursday. They already have a sound system, so I'm going as guest with the s4 suitcase and doing my thing.

Hopefully I'm still doing the 16th on sat, the clients mum was being tight about my fee even tough I'm doing it slightly less than anybody else and I'm bringing a FUCKING sub.

Yeh its coming along nicely. Now if people can just accept that I no longer do gigs for "$50 if im not working, or 150 if i need to take the day off work" like I did ONE FUCKING TIME, using hi fi speakers. I'll make a separate thread for this in a sec.

Sweetish: yeah i figured they'd all be 21+ i do know of a couple clubs in San Fran that used to play DnB a few years ago, but whether they still do im not sure, would be so awesome if i can get a few gigs in the states, id feel like shockone touring all over :P

Played a 1HR trial at a club tonight.

Started at 11 and played nothing but electro house, had so much fun and was really on my game tonight. I achaly surprised myself with my mixing tonight.

Played 28 tracks in the hour and also dropped a few vocal samples here and there just to add that something extra. Im really on a high at the moment and proud of my performance.

The guy that hired me said he enjoyed it and will get me back again, Hopefully he is serious because I have heard them exact words before.

Also dropped Raindrops - Anarchy remix and Hollaback Girl - Knocked Up Noise remix.

Did a mates 21st, it was pretty quiet. Classy place, oldies and such, seemed like most people just wanted to catch up but thats cool. Played most rnb and laid back house, then CHEESE, SO MUCH FUCKING CHEESE, then some people left and it was chill again.

To put emphasis on MOBILE dj, i actually took the train to get there, s4 laptop and cables in the case and the ledball in my backpack. I think it needs a service because i keeps flashing and making a weird noise. Anyhow, setup took less than 4 minutes, including getting the table and plugging into the house mixer.
