SolDios Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Did my first wedding last night.Fairly good overall, I wanted to drill my brains out for the first 5 hours I was that bored.I have also found that my laptop running though the line input of the Mdex makes the high range a little bit piercing.Il test today if it was the Mdex or just the laptop.towards the end of the night I was back in the awkward situation where half wanted old and half wanted new, I tried to alternate between the two to keep them both happy, but no matter what I did, half where on and half where off.I threw almost every genre at them but couldn't keep the two groups on the floor at the same time.but the dancers where only 50% of the people there, the rest where to busy drinking/smoking.I guess you can only try so hard.Anyways, walked away with $230. ($30 an hour + $30 setup fee)And on Monday im buying my audio 6 so the mdex will be out of my life.Now if you excuse me im going to go move my trailer into a shady spot.Edit: Almost forgot, there was this one 50yo guy that wouldn't stop requesting (Rhianna - Cheers, il drink to that) every 5 minutes, and every time when I said no, he would make some smart ass remark or some stupid insult e.g. one of them was "Your Fuc**** tripping C***" I just ignored him when he did this though. At the end of the night he came up and said "you played some f****** shit tonight man". My insides wanted to say "You must feel big picking on a 16yo kid" But instead I just said "Thanks, I hope you had a great night too man". He walked away not knowing what had just happened. Everyone else was happy with what I did.I know people act different when there drunk, but he was just being an ass.IMO it was a crap song anyway. I would have played it earlier in the night, but it wasn't even suitable at the times he requested it. Quote
