defs work with tutorials over youtube. theres millions!

best thing i would do is get a macbook pro, open garageband and understand how everything works. from understanding midi, structuring loops and mixing and eqing.

garageband comes free with every mac and is a brilliant learning ground. heaps of great loops and a decent sound library. the new version of garageband comes with a few extra features and is layed out more similar to logic then what it use to be.

the good thing with doing it this way is that you dont need to pay for anything. you just open and learn

once you get the hang of garageband, logic is the next step.

thats just my opinion. hope it helps :)

It's on the djwarehouse website im pretty sure, just google it. My nets capped at the moment so i cbf doing it.

It's pretty expensive from what I can remember. as is their normal dj course, but from the looks of it, seems pretty intensive.

I think lightsounds do some too, might be only dj courses though.

whats a good noob friendly song to try and mimic

knas maybe, did'nt angello just use a pre-made sample or some shit.

edit: yeah pjanoo would be allright too. theres probably tons of random underground tracks you could easily mimic out there.

stepping into the world of garage band (since it came with my macbook pro and its free) this weekend and having a good ol bash. Starting to feel all giddy with excitement to think that eventually, i will be able to make my own track, with just the sound i like, then actually dropping it into a mix. Hoping my piano theory background will at least help me a little

this pretty much sums up i feel
