yizzle Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 So, is it?I dont know how many of you have seen things like this. It is the first time i have seen anything like it. Seems pretty cool. Just threading it to see if people can give some feedback on what he is using (and i dont mean Traktor) but the screen specs and... if people really think this is how it will all turn end up. Quote
legunner Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 I doubt it is the "future" but it is a possibility for new ways to mix, however the lack of tactile buttons forces me to reject it was a possibility for me in the future. but hey good look to whoever does it. Quote
styga Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 nah. da future has more lazers and flying carshaha Quote
Jaz Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 yeh we talked about this ages ago, wazza is actually making 1 of these DIY, cant wait to see it finishedbut nah i dont think its the future Quote
CBG Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 people are already doing, in a smaller medium. Michael Woods, Steve Duda, Deadmau5, Sasha, they all use touch pads to control their software. Usually an iPad or Lemur Quote
legunner Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Yeh i have seen them, but im pretty sure they also use a piece of hardware such as the xone 4d in deadmau5' case to control the primary functions. i may be wrong though. Quote
dim Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 go wazza, go wazza, go wazzasee this thread:http://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php? ... sc&start=0but i'll still be hands on.... all that screen would be too trippy for me Quote
Skank Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 i posted this like a year ago or even longer i think Quote
LabRat Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 I reckon this is just a gimic. Could very well happen but at this stage I doubt we'll see it or anything like it Quote
LabRat Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I wouldn't like this eywont happen so no need to worry Quote
SourceRaver Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I think its the future, but for DJ performances not necessarily the actual act of Dj'ing. With software like VDJ etc anyone can start 'mixing' their own tunes. Watching some dude behind a desk tweaking the buttons on a midi controller will get old pretty quickly. More established DJ's will look for new ways to keep their established markets by making themselves more exciting to watch. Look at the efforts that Deadmau5 goes to too make it more of a visual experience. I reakon the likes of Tiesto will be using one of these in the near future. Quote
LabRat Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Deadmau5 isn't djing though. He's performing his own music and "ghost" productions. Tiesto and armin van buuren started doing this ages ago but they're very established dj's / producers and people pay just to see them for 5hrs Quote
yizzle Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 seems like a necessary hair cut for the spider on ya head Quote
