FabDJ Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Planning on standing or sitting on a stool when I dj instead of sitting at a table or standing over it and cant find a comfortable height to set my deck at, any suggestons? 1070mm from the floor is too high and before I cut my speaker pole support for my rostrum would like to know what other people suggest. andyman Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Belly button height table with decks on it works for me. Quote
Gandy Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 any possibilty of putting the two decks on slanted adjustable stands at about chest level? Might save your back a bit, i think djaz has a pic of his setup, should be quite portable too, that way you dont have to worry about the perfect height table Quote
FabDJ Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 Ta Andy if I can find my bellybutton I'll measure it from the floor. Quote
eggssell Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 ha ha ha your a cack fab.for me i like the height of the platter to be such that my it is just below my elbow while i am standing straight up. so when touching the record my forearm is slightly bent from the elbow (if that makes sense). i.e not at 90 degrees and no more than 45 degrees.this allows me to play without bending my back. FabDJ Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 Thanks boys Might go with the elbow height as it seems comfortable. Have been stacking books on a bench to determine if this is the right height for working the controls. Quote

Jaz Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 my table sits about upper leg level, but with the height of the decks and the roadcase they end up being about crotch level..higher would be better Quote
