Ravni Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Yeh the most i have seen is serato or traktor, I will be moving over to serato sl4 in the coming months when i can get my hands on one and integrating ableton via the bridge and use my launch pad to trigger clips and so on from ableton while still in serato but thats as far as im going to go. Some clubs still have cdj1000's so playing with control cds with traktor and serato is your best bet then simply set up your serato or traktor in HID mode if you are using 900's or 2000's thats my two cents worth Quote
CDJbpm Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I've only seen controllers used at b'day functions and weddings. Most clubs have industry standard pioneers and you wouldn't want to pass up an opportunity to use those babies over your controller. Quote
fackedd Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 eh i dont really see the point of using a DVS when you can just plug in a usb or hard drive into 900/2000's analysed and organised through rekordbox. It's why I bought my 900's anyway.Too bad alot of the places i play at still using 1000's. don't get me wrong, 1000's are still great cd'dj's.cwutididthar. Quote
dim Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 oh i get it, you mean: "Professional Vinyl-Emulating Compact Disc Turntables"why didnt you just say so? Quote
legunner Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 *cdjs not cddjsol dios whenever i play out i ask the club what gear they have. luckily i know how to mix on cdjs, turntables and if i want i can take my own controller.so luckily its not really crucial on what i want to take i always use traktor scratch pro 2.anyways if theres room in the booth they will let you use it.i'll be posting a thread about setting up controllers in a club soon.
