now its a question of whether I buy the 8" rokits or vxts, coz I might be able to snatch a pair of VXTs on eBay for waaaaay cheaper than they are in store.

Vxt range I'd say go fit it if you can afford. Certainly a step up on the rockits

there are a pair of krk vxt 8"s on ebay that are only at $600 which I was loooking to try and get but there is still over 2 days in the auction left plus a fair few bids already, so just went with the rokits.

looking at the back of them, it looks like there is both an RCA and XLR input so I should be sweet.

right, got them setup and have a few questions.

what settings do you have them on? like what volumes etc. in relation to volume on the mixer.

and also, I know there monitors and arent meant to have as much bass as speakers, but I was wondering if I could boost the bass levels a bit. anyone wanna help me out?

everyone settings should be different depending on many things....like what surface they are eg metal or wood, how far they are apart from each other, how far away from you they are, how big your room is etc etc etc

chev is always the most help with these things man
