dim
yeah, i tried an s4. even tho it's very good and the platters are responsive I found them too small and in the wrong place to be a truly all-round dj tool. Definitely aimed at the traktor cues/loops market. I wish it had been ok coz i was saving up for it and the money is burning a hole in my pocket while i wait for the ns6.For a beginner I would say they need to be able to try everything to find the direction they want to go in...For my style I need to be jack of all trades: mixing, cues, loops, scratching, cutting, fx... so a set up has to have the best of all worlds. The DDJT1 and NS6 are the first lightweight options for me. BTW the ns6 acts as stand alone mixer so if laptop crashes you can still have an external back up source playing.
