andyman Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 A few years back when I posted on another forum, we organised a group of us to partner up, and send each other a mix CD.It worked really well, and at the end of the day, everyone got a CD with 10-12 tracks that they usually wouldn't have heard before.Would anyone be keen on me organising something like this on here? andyman Posted May 4, 2011 Author Posted May 4, 2011 I'm thinking just put a dozen or so tracks on it, doesn't matter who made them, how old they are, or what genre of EDM they are.Just send through, and we might open some eyes to the different styles that are around. Quote

eggssell Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 not to be the do-gooder and you can tell me to f'off, but what about the legality?i mean how many times have y'all jumped on some cat for asking for free software and or give em shyte about paying for music.dont get me wrong i dont really give a shyte about what others do, but should this really be discussed in a public forum king cuper. eggssell Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 and to be more constructive. (just thought of it)what we could do is someone every week put up 10 tracks they feeling with embeds from soundcloud, juno, beatport or youtube (i dont think itunes does embed). then if people likey likey they can cop. andyman Posted May 5, 2011 Author Posted May 5, 2011 I didn't really think about that.Way to ruin my idea. Quote
eggssell Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 sorry bruz. but see above^^ i came up with a slight adjustment that will also work Quote
andyman Posted May 5, 2011 Author Posted May 5, 2011 That's a good idea also.I dunno, I just thought it'd be cool if we got like 10 people on board, and we all sent out a mixed CD to each other. It'd be great in the sense that you wouldn't have a byast opinion as to what you were hearing.Like, if we were to put a top 10 up, I know for a fact I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to some of the artists people on here like, which is why a more random approach would suit better.Anyway, we'll see what Lord Cupe says. legunner Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 oh mighty lord cupe.but what's with this copyright stuff? if we bought the music we are allowed to burn cds? Quote
