SolDios Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Hey guys, ive found I really like mixing R&B, but yesterday when I was practising, I didn't realise that I had the pitch slider way up, but it sounded really good, like up-beat R&B.Anyways, do you guys know what I would use to strip the audio and the lyrics out into 2 separate files? I want to make a sort of remix of a song, and yes, I will post it when its done! Quote
awesome88 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 you can, but from what i have gathered it's pretty hard to completely seperate both of them without impacting the other unless you ahve the right software and knowledge etc...your best bet is to download the instrumental and acapella seperatley.acapellas - http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/and just search for the instrumentals Quote
SolDios Posted May 4, 2011 Author Posted May 4, 2011 I couldn't see it, do you possibly know where I could get the acapella for "do you wana get funky C+C Music factory" Quote
andyman Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 I'm at work, so can't open the links.Have a look: http://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&source= ... 6986326989 Quote
chrismak Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Its possible to strip the vocals if if you can get your hands on the original and instrumental track versions, with both having similar audio quality.Check this tutorial video out Quote
Jaz Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 yeh Ableton also does it in the same way as Mr Chris's video Quote
ChevChelios Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 it's impossible to completely seperate both of themFixed.Odds are almost 100% against you even if you have the instrumental, no matter how good an engineer you are.Pretty much if the pella isn't on acappelas4u it isn't on the web.In the world of acapellas, you take what you can get Quote
JonnyB Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 ask it really nicely and they seperate for you, but be mean and they quickly join back together and ruin your song. Quote
dim Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 seriously sol, if you search any dj forum anywhere on the net you will find lots of threads that say exactly the same thing as this one.Your best bet is to find and buy the accapella... if it does not exist it is not possible to exactly seperate vox from instrumentals as too many frequencies will be shared between the two...but you can try it anyway and you may be happy with the results.after all: see sig.
