tubby Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 that's a bit vague, that link shows monitors, PA's, amps. is this for home or events? powered, passive? Quote

Luke Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I have the Fostex PM-1 active monitors and the PM-0.5 Subwooferhttp://www.storedj.com.au/products/product.php?id=774http://www.storedj.com.au/products/product.php?id=776I really like them... they sounded the nicest for the price, and nicer than KRK's that were a few hundred more (to me anyways). I did however get them all for under a grand because all they had was the display setup(at DMC melbourne), which suited me. Quote
Skank Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 i went to lightsounds to get my set up its all sound king but cost $730 but by far has payed for itself2x 12inch 500watt 2way speakers1x 700watt 6 channel ampmight be a low end brand but they havent let me down yet! Quote
tubby Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 I just picked up a pair of behringer truth monitors. They were the older model (2031, not 2031A). Just moved house so no longer have the decks in the same room as my stereo, but these monitors are pretty good, and for the price incredible. $200 off ebay, cannot complain about that. even though monitors are not meant for parties, these could easily handle house party duties.now just to sort out a new desk for all the gear, then to order that xone 4d Quote
pill Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I've mentioned this elsewhere but JB have some passive speakers that kick ass. I use the ALPA15s for mobile DJing. They are imported by TDJ australia who also do alot of stuff for cars and stuff. Just don't get the self amplified ones, they have horrible guts and the first one i tested instore blew smoke. Quote
