legunner Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Hmmmm, what an experience.Night started out ok considering the gig, played some commercial with a few remixes off MOS- Annual 2001, like Dirty talk, Dance the way I feel, Take over control etc etc. All seems to be going pretty good.Switch it up to some RnB like Flo Rida, Pitbull, Chris Brown, etc etc. (If you would classify that as RnB). The kids are loving it.Kids really start dancing when I drop some electro like crookers remix's, dj's from mars mash ups and other assorted bits and pieces. Asked to turn it off because the kids don't like it. Thats strange, check out the dance floor!!! And I had a kid that gave me a cd to play that was full of electro tunes.The kids ask the people running the show if I could play some old school stuff. Macarena-YUP, Nutbush-YUP. But than it all falls apart when I drop Simply the best, security comes up and tells me that the owner doesn't want the children to hear that because it will encourage them to be competitive and think life is all about winning and being the best. WTF!!!!/RANT thats fucking disgusting haha Quote
