chocstclair
Hey guysIn the process of crafting together a bassline driven techno track but have hit a snag. I've been using both sylenth and massive in ableton to design the key elements. They are giving me a muddy sound and not sure how to create clearer sounding lines to bring the track to life. I've not gone over board on reverb or delay, at this point i've not applied a compressor so i'm getting the feeling it may need some light tweeks in sylenth or massive. I'm a relative noob when it comes to synthesis so if anybody has any tips I would really appreciate it. CSC
ChevChelios
EQ all the way man, also get a freq analyzer and see where the two instruments are placed on the spectrum, if their fundamentals are in the same area then its gonna cause some problems. Also multiband compression could work to tighten up the bottom end if thats where the problem is.
