LabRat
Ok this is what happened when i codnt locate mine. you need to make sure your Massive extension is .au or .componentIf you download a vst wrapper, it usually locates it and then you can convert it from there. He may have given you the .vst copy and if he has then you'll need to get another copy
street
wait so does the vst wrapper convert the .vst copy to a .au or .component file?are there any free vst wrappers?
ChevChelios
To me that looks like a logic session named massive
street
yeah, I think youre right, but I now remember him saying that when he was transferring it there wasnt enough room or there was an error or something, and there was still 9GB of synths to be transferred and I guess Massive was one of those synths, so he then put it on a CD and it didnt work, lol. I gotta find an ethernet cable or something, thatd make everything way easier.
JonnyB
USB? yeah all files in that screen shot are project files, non of them are synths Logic should automatically recognise massive once installed on the computer shouldnt it?
LabRat
wait so does the vst wrapper convert the .vst copy to a .au or .component file?are there any free vst wrappers?it does something like that lolyeah there are a few free ones out there. just a matter of having a look for one.Massive isnt too expencive from the NI site. download it from there (will probably take a while) and instal the .au from there. sooo much easier lol
street
the biggest USB I have is 4GB and there is 9GB of synths still to be transferred but if I get an ethernet cable I can just plug my laptop to his computer and transfer it all at once hopefully. eggssell
you cant just plug two pc's via ethernet man, you need a special ethernet. i dont know the technical mumbo jumbo, but i know that an ethernet doesnt have enuff to form a connection.if you have a router just either connect thru that or if you have no cables, create a wireless network and share the drives.EDIT: oh yeah its called a crossover cable if you want to do it without the router. could be different with macs though
street
ehh, that tmakes things more difficult.has anyone else transferred synths like this to a friend or vice versa? if so, how did you do it?

ChevChelios
Mate, if you cant figure out how to pirate something then, no offence, but you must be pretty daft and you're better off saving up and buying software. You're also not allowed to discuss warez on here.
