SolDios Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I saw the pioneer cd dj 350's in jb hifi the other day. And honnestly I hated them, the jog wheels where really crappy! And spun really badly like they had sand under them (they dident as I tried it with other ones and it was the same). Not to mention they only scratch if you push down the top with a moderate amount of force. I would not pay $850 like they where charging for that.:S all the pioneer stuff seems to be a-bit overpriced in fact. Sure people say "your paying for quality" but your also paying to add another room to there golden mansion. Im probably going to get rocks thrown at me for this but yeh :S Quote
Hobberz Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 The demo model there has probably been abused by customers and kids and that is why its a bit worst for wear. I bet a new one out of the box or a well looked after second hand one would feel a lot better. Quote
Gandy Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 i own 350sas hobberz has said, that demo model would get hundreds of retards everyday doing exactly what you just didits an entry level deck, of course the platter is not going to be up to 900/2000 standard, or else why bother buying the better models.the jog wheel is actually very good a big improvement over the 400s imothe 350s are very solid/accurate in the most important parts of the deck, especially for entry level Quote
SolDios Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 oh, yeh I guess that makes sense, but when it gets to about $2200 for one cd'dj its a bit over the top :/ Quote
Hobberz Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Was waiting for you Gandy Agree with your comment regarding 350 jog wheel better than the 400's. Really think you just played with a dud machine Sol. Quote
lloydc Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 fuck, i never knew 350's were that much!?aren't the 850's only a little more than that? Quote
street Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 earlier this year 350s were like $600 now theyve gone back up. Quote
legunner Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 also remember that the jog wheel on the 350's isn't going to be that terrific for scratching because nobody in their right mind would buy one for scratching purposes. Quote
GuptRX Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I hated them, the jog wheels where really crappy! And spun really badly like they had sand under themI had a play with some CDJ-1000s at jbhifi back when they were the cats pajamas, and they were exactly the same. Quote
J0rdz Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 oh, yeh I guess that makes sense, but when it gets to about $2200 for one cd'dj its a bit over the top :/Go play on a CDJ2000 and then get back to me. They're fucking brilliant machines! Quote

Ravni Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 got a pair, awesome for wat they are, got an awesome price for mine, the functionality is really good, for the price you really struggle to find anything better, the platter is pretty good in imo, and jumping to other pioneer models has been easy, the difference in platters doesnt matter in imo, u just get used to them with in 10s of using them. oh and at JBL they get a thrashing, plus its not the best place to get good prices on dj gear. I thought we'd covered this... Quote
Jaz Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 fuck buying ex demo models from places like JB...might as well search for 1 at the dump Quote

You're whole goal of zero to hero is to get a club gig so its not a hard choice. Go to an actual dj store and not some general electronics store and talk to someone who actually knows more then your average salesman at JB HiFi. Dont know how many different ways we can tell you the same thing. Its like you are trying your hardest for someone to say "dont buy pioneer" Quote
