SolDios
Hey, so to complete my lighting setup I want to get a lighting truss and 2 proper stage lights. this one is $40http://cgi.ebay.com.au/40-LED-MoonFlowe ... 775wt_1140and this one is around $70http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 4682wt_986I cant decide on what to getthanks in advance
Jaz
i had the 1st 1 (sold all my speakers and lights at the start of this week)it was ok, your better off puting the $40 to something better in my opinion and 70 is a bit much for the second 1 i think

Jaz
your obviously after the cheapies and dont wanna spend heaps on Professional lighting (i was the same)I had this, its twice and much $ as what your looking at but its about 10 times the light man, just wack it on the beat recognizer setting (listens to the bass of the music) and let it rip...it just runs threw all its settings and then repeatsits pretty decent for its pricehttp://cgi.ebay.com.au/469-LED-MoonFlow ... 3cb500649a
SolDios
thats chill, he has those exact ones to bid on, so il bid on them with $70 max price
GuptRX
djaz - how is that light in terms of using it as a centre piece? i got one of the moving head/penguin style ones and im not happy, this was my second choice.cheers
Jaz
it would go pretty decent, it has such a wide birth, like it comes the whole floor were as others cover only a section...watch the video in that ebay description for an exampleplus the further away you put it the bigger all the lights get
SolDios
oh, lights I have at the moment, 8 coloured floodlights hooked up to a lighting chaser (two per channel) and 1 rotating LED moonflower

Jaz
Ooks good man but I dunno if to strobes will work unless they are synced up via a dmx controller...If not they won't be flashing at the same time and rather then getting that shuttering effect they will probly just light the room up
andythemusician
If you set the strobes speed manually you can get them to match each other, and just turn them on at the same time.Even with DMX you will still find it hard to get them all working as one - some careful programming needed.Master/slave if they do that will work though. Jaz
in other words 1 strobe will be much easier

Jaz
Second 1 looks pretty good for its price but hanging it directly above the D-floor would be the best effect, but the 1st 1 looks average
SolDios
oh, haha I dident think the first one looked too bad, what dont you like about it? the video looks pretty impressive

legunner
dude whenever i dj i use one laser and a strobe.thats it. i can't really see any need for much else. also remember that you do NOT want to put too much strain on your powerboard and have everything overload and switch off.
