krsjuan
Just bought a pair of fostex PM1 MKII and they are freaking heavy.the setup is in my room and i dont want some of those ugly gig-style tripod speaker stands, but im worried that any sexy-one-legged stands wont be all that sturdy with the weight of the monitors and my tendency to stumble around my room drunk on the odd occassion may be a damaging factor to these type of standsso.wall mounted brackets? look clean, wont get knocked over, will be at head height.....thoughts? Jaz
I looked into this alot and sadly everthing looks dodgey for my speaker weight, yours only weight 11kg mine weigh 16kgive decided to go with a very heavy duty shelf attatched to about 4 or 5 wall studs with 45 degree counter legs as well, should be pretty sturdy i looked into stuff like this https://www.storedj.com.au/products/QUI-BS336but in the end the feet were gonna be way to big..and they do look like they are just gonna topple over...wall bracket should be alright for your speakers...they are hard to find though... lloydc
i got a pair of these from jaycar and am extremely happy with them, although they only suit an application where you have enough room to put them on a bench or table
krsjuan
yeah i feel ya djaz. everything ive seen just looks unsturdy or is hella ugly.problemo solved though. turns out my mantelpiece is just about perfect height for the monitors. awwwyeah

krsjuan
can i borrow it fo sho. i reckon you are right about the shelf. any type of stand that is sturdy enough to keep 16kg balanced is going to have some massive ugly base on it. post pics of said shelf when you get round to it broseph
