Jaz Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 A minute silence for this poor poor man, how does he deal with it http://www.inthemix.com.au/news/intl/49 ... ion_a_year Quote
awesome88 Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 i'd be happy to earn 1% of that a year... Quote
awesome88 Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 i've only seen him at stereosonic.... wasn't the best, but my friends who have seen his own shows said he was a lot better at them Quote
CBG Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 when he did that double gig at melb/adelaide, he would have raked in about $300-$500k. He's worked hard though so I suppose he deserves it. Compared to actors and sports stars he's probably on par Quote
eggssell Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 yeah for sure. i dont really know much about him as ive said before i only got introduced to him thru my bros cuz we all tegan & sara and bloc party fanbois. but i know he has been voted top dj of the year, top dj of the decade, top dj of the century a million times over.and we know that the amount of festivals and the amount of people going to festivals has been growing. so why shouldnt he get his spoils. else the promoter will just pocket it.and its not like he can cut his asking price, cuz isnt that what everyone beehatches about dj's cutting the price to undercut the market. so until his star burns or the haters succeed in taking him down, big ups to him. Jaz Posted March 31, 2011 Author Posted March 31, 2011 yeh i watched him at stereo brisbane, wasnt impressed, left and went to watch major lazer Quote
lloydc Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 he sucked at stereohis other tours (elements of life and kaleidoscope) were amazing Quote
CBG Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 He only gets away with his performances because of who he is. He's the king of trance alongside armin. Therefore he's allowed to do cd based, long and late transition mixing. Which is cool, he's old school.I've seen him twice in the last 12months or so and was fairly happy with both, for the above reasons. I could understand why ppl that didnt grow up with his music wouldnt appreciate his performances as much those that did grow up with him.His light and visuals show is at the forefront tho imo. Besides like daft punk and mau5 n that. Quote
