anyone know a better all round controller than this:

kids demo:

salesmans pitch:

Of course real turntablists use vinyl, but for those who dont want to skip or wear out precious choons is this the best all round option for software control with scratching but without all the weight of 2 technics/cdjs?

nice 1, was looking at them too, £300 more than the numark though.

do you own one of these? does it have any way of compensating for the lack of the little screen on the platters themselves which show you where you are in each rotation?

p.s. i know numarks rep for build quality, i used to work in retail chain in uk which sold all dj gear and so have a few contacts in the industry still. Looks like numark have done their homework quality-wise on the ns6 and ns7 so I'm not concerned it may be a toy.

bwawhawheehaw.

awesome88 and his denon mc6000... like the cat that got the cream!

seriously: it is a top machine, i especially like the steel construction, but not the one for me as wont let me "dibby dibby", or is that "wigga wigga"

cheers tho bro.

yeah ns7 an option but i'm really looking for lightweight and cheaper.

plus the ns7 has those motorised platters... which is just more to break in my eyes.

all round controller is what i'm after, the middle of the road, the jack of all trades, one size fits all type of shit.

anybody says ipod on shuffle and i'm getting my gun. lolz

just saw this:

even tho the lad can only just scratch notice the red light going round and round the platter... that's what i was wondering about, that shows you where you are in each rotation so you can apply clock technique to sampling, cuts and scratches without having to look at screen.

that puts pioneer back in the running for me.

numark also has the rotating led start 2 mins in for it

yep, thats why it was my 1st choice, plus pioneer will shutdown if pc crashes, numark works as standalone mixer, also i've just discovered the pioneers are not compatible with 64 bit laptops.... so numark back in the number 1 slot, and £100 cheaper in uk.
