Gandy Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 not a massive dutch house fan but ill give critique where i canawesome opening track, had me smiling and bopping at the 1 min mark and was pumped to get into the saddle and listen to the restsecond track (i really dislike afrojack) i was like oh...whered all the energy go (again like i said not a massive dutch house fan) transition seemed a little abrupt as wellsecond transition into ducksauce sounded smooth, maybe 32 bars too long as it sort of felt like it lost energy againthird transition i felt you faded out ducksauce too early, i would of dropped ducksauce soon as the lyrics of the next track startedloved the fourth track very funky 2 things i liked1. everything sounded beatmatched so big ups for that2. loved the first song, great opener2 things of critique (of course these are all personal opinions, others may disagree)1. mix structure, seemed a little all over the shop, lost a lot of energy for me with the second track2. transitions, some were a little too long for my liking, while the ducksauce into beat dont stop felt a little rushedoverall mate good effort, im sure someone who is more into dutch house would get a real buzz outa this mix, keep em coming Quote

Sounds like i'll have to do a more electro mix for you gandy cos it sounds like you liked those tracks better.i listened back to it again just now (i like to listen back the next day with fresh ears) and agree with you on the duck sauce => beat don't stop. should have let that play out longer.and yea it's a bit of a mixed bag, just a few my newer downloads.thanks for the feedback Quote
Gandy Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 no worries mate, thats the awesome thing about music everyone appreciates different tastes, like i said not saying the dutch house was bad, just not my taste!i do the same thing, listen to my mixes a couple days later, because honestly by the end of the recording session everything sounds the same.great work keep em coming!
