Gandy
i was more talking about something like mixed in key that fixes the sound level and makes it all one standard, instead of sounding too loud or too soft maybe i didnt explain it properly
Jaz
so basically like putting a compressor on the whole recorded mix?
Ravni
so basically like putting a compressor on the whole recorded mix?I know that mixed in key now have a program that has a compressor that basically has a compressor that rounds of square waves of tracks that have been poorly compressed to give a better sound apparently its good but i have not used it i got the old mixed in key program cbf upgrading

SourceRaver
I think you want to 'normalize' your tracks so google that instead. I used to use Steinberg Wavelab and you could normalize a single track or a whole mix.Also...Keep your channel faders at about 70% so if the incomming track is a bit soft, you can bump the volume without touching the gain on the mixer. The gain on my DJM3000 is really sensative and really small adjustments can up/lower the volume a lot. So best to use the channel faders.
