lloydc Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 I'm not an ableton user, however I found this very interesting.they are now offering full length sets as used as programmed by DJs in ableton, including all their ableton files.heres the youtube video Quote
legunner Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Looks cool, it seems everything the mau5trap label touches these days turns to gold. Quote
Jaz Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 i would love mau5's trademark kick n claps though, he has very unique beats Quote
legunner Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 He is a smart mutha f*!#er too. I'm pretty sure Feed Me and Skrillex are both signed to his label. Quote
Tomy Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 hmmmmm good way for big company to suck the life/ creativity out of dj-ing once again. yeah its a cool idea but if i wanted to here the set i'd buy the mix. when am i ever going to use someone else ableton set. Quote
legunner Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Good point but it's interesting to see how professionals do their thang Quote
J0rdz Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Now making it even easier to become a "DJ".Buy a laptop, pirate ableton, download set from beatport. BAM! Quote
lloydc Posted March 6, 2011 Author Posted March 6, 2011 Now making it even easier to become a "DJ".Buy a laptop, pirate ableton, download set from beatport. BAM!sif you'd buy the set off beatport, it'd be on a blog by now.Djaz, you can get the deadmau5 samples in the xfer sample pack Quote
eggssell Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 could it be the concept is this like buying someones mix set, but to enhance the experience you can see exactly what he has done (since ableton is able to record all that).not to be used in your own dj set. i mean its not like you go and buy a mixed cd now and use parts in your dj set. Quote
legunner Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Guys don't get defensive and think that beatport and ableton are trying to "ruin" the concept of deejaying.I think the purpose of this is so show people how the pro's are using the program and to enhance our understanding on using ableton to do a "live" show.ciao ciao for now Quote
J0rdz Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 i mean its not like you go and buy a mixed cd now and use parts in your dj set.Never done, never will. I've tried in the past, but it shits me to tears not having the full track at my disposal. I see it alot in commercial clubs where there's heaps of McDJs that can't be bothered actually paying for a proper DJ friendly rip. Quote
Jaz Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 i mean its not like you go and buy a mixed cd now and use parts in your dj set.Never done, never will. I've tried in the pastLOL talk about contradicting yourself Quote
Skank Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 when am i ever going to use someone else ableton set.+1wtf will you do with some one elses set ? Quote
J0rdz Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 HAHAHA !LMFAO!I meant that I'd never personally purchased a mixed CD and used it in a set, but HAVE tried to use them before. Friends and people at clubs have brought them up to the booth and asked for tracks to be played, etc. Quote
