pill Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Got 2x 12 inch PA subs for sale. Would also be good as bass guitar backups if you've got a 5-stringer.Passive, 400w RMS, 1200 peak, in decent condition.looking for $100 each or $170 for both. They cost me around $250 each new. More than happy to set them up for you if you want to hear em for yourself.Got an active crossover (3/4 way) that i'll sell for $100 (bought for $250) or do the whole pack for $250.Anyone in perth / willing to pay for a courier can take advantage of this to really boost the bass in your setup.PM Me / dpillar@iinet.net.au . pulsebeat Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Someone get on hereits a great deal!! Quote
pill Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 These are the ones: http://jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID ... rm=KEYWORDI see they have dropped in price a little since i bought them. They have a little bit of wear and tear but i put plastic corner protectors on all of the corners to protect them. The wood isn't damaged except for one screw missing out of one of the subwoofer top hats. They are 4 ohms each, and I run them on an amp that has 425 watts RMS (at 4 ohms) per channel.Basically they max the amp out and are still hungry for more power! You could go down the path like DJaz has done and got one of those spankin' new behringer EPX3000 amps and run these babies off one channel and your tops off the other. As with all PA subs that don't cost $2k, they aren't gonna give you rattling pendulum basss like a car sub will, but they will certainly give you extra doof on your bass drum and heaps of upper bottom end. They also replace the bass that you lose by putting your tops on stands.I used to use them for school gigs, etc, before i bought an active sub. Quote
pill Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 *bump* whole pack for $200 or subs for 75 each and crossover for 100 individually. I need to clear out the storage space! Quote
SolDios Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Going to jaycar next weekend to listen to them, if I like, il buy yours Quote
pill Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 awesome just remember that those amps they have at jaycar are super-average, strapping the subs up to a proper P.A. amplifier will yeild much heavier bass! Quote
SolDios Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Wait? so the subs your selling arent powered?and do you think you could post them to Adelaide for an extra fee? Quote
pill Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 i'd be happy to but i think the cost of postage (it would have to be a courier) would be quite large.they're unpowered, require an external amp and appropriate crossover to power them and ensure they only play bass. Quote
