jbeard
Hi all, Trying to decide what I want for my first MIDI keyboard, quite a few are similiar and I can't decide which. Basically here is what I am looking for; Some Drum Pads on itAnywhere between $200-300Mutilple knobs for use with MASSIVEOnly need around 25 keysI will be making Dub Step and Dance with it mostly so if that makes a differenceJust let me know what you think would suit, I have looked at the Novation Nocturn 25, the Akai MPK25, and the M-Audio Axiom 25.Whats your opinions? Thanks, JB
ShabangRecords
Just let me know what you think would suit, I have looked at the Novation Nocturn 25, the Akai MPK25, and the M-Audio Axiom 25.Whats your opinions? the novation noct 25 is pretty good. I have a MPK49 which is great really good feel and you cant go past the akai pads. I would suggest going in store just to look at all of these and see which ones you like the feel of most. some have pads on different sides etc. so i think its pretty important to get up close first. jbeard
Hadn't even thought of the Pads being on different sides. Thanks Shabang

Bonz
i have the MPK25.its awesome although the pad sensitivity is REALLY HARD.something else to take into consideration is that the NOVATION keyboards have automapping....whereas the AKAI doesnt. But i havent found manual mapping to be as bad as people make it out to be.just depends how lazy you are i guess.
