Sup all...

Just curios if anyone is part of a dj company....

i was asked to join a certain company in Sydney/make a profile on there site and get some work blah blah blah..

anyone done this or doing this and watts good n bad about this path...

i dont think anyone currently is part of 1 man, but im pretty sure someone was once...just cant remember who

just a word of advice though, depending on how much gear you have or if your willing to spend the money, it might be better to go solo as you can charge your own price, pick your own gigs and hours, and play what music u want

A friend of mine recently joined a Dj company. Hes been mobile Dj'ing for years and its his first company. He said he was suprised by the useful stuff he learnt.

If your prepared to go through the 'training stage' (ie sometimes unpaid gigs just shadowing someone) then its probably worth joining up, learning everything you can and then going solo. Even more applicable if you havnt many public gigs under your belt.

thats exactly watt i was thinking...i tagged along last night to a gig out in a club.....it sucks thats some clubs dont let u use your own mixer etc....
