house party lighting

Hey guys,

Any suggestions of where to get lights for house parties, without breaking the bank? I guessed ebay or the markets, but any other suggestions?

just go for a strobe, 2x lasers , smoke machine & t-bar youll get it all for 400-500 bucks

i have a strobe but didnt really use it... no controller

but im getting my cousin to setup a neon sound activated thing that ill put around the dj tabe

only other thing i would want is a for machine and some light-changing machine

but alot of people just use the switch boards for that (djaz)

one of my mates just has a dick smith smoke machine and a little laser. it goes alright but im keen to get something for that full on club experience

Its good to get a bit of wash light in there too. If you run the laser all night, it loses its special-ness. Mix it up, its about having a bit of diversity and contrast.

yea, thanks boys. i have the fog machine and big arse laser now, so i think i'll get some general wash lighting. sounds good
